Thailand LIFESAVER Clean Water Project


On behalf of a very generous donor, LIFESAVER systems have already shipped out a large number of LIFESAVER bottles and jerrycans to those in need in Thailand. But with your help LIFESAVER can do more for Thailand’s flood victims.

It has been reported that authorities are grappling with Thailand's worst flooding in decades and are now facing the potential spread of disease as contaminated waters spread deeper into Bangkok. One of the key problems flood victims are facing is Leptospirosis, a bacterial infection often spread through rat urine. Although rare, the disease can spread when humans drink water or eat food contaminated by infected animal urine, or absorb it through skin cuts or open wounds. Diarrhoea is also a major concern. The water is polluted in many parts and with no adequate toilet facilities risk of disease is high. This risk will only continue as floodwaters recede in the coming weeks, leaving standing water behind.

All the costs of distribution are born by both LIFESAVER systems and our partners and distributors. At just £0.09p per litre the LIFESAVER jerrycan is a very cost effective tool allowing families and villages to provide their own clean drinking water. Your £20 contribution will provide a family with over 2,200 litres of clean sterile drinking water.
At 1.5 Litres each per day this will last a family of 4 for 12 Months.



Large Family - All of your money goes directly to the provision of LIFESAVER jerrycans.
All the costs of distribution are born by both LIFESAVER systems and our partners and distributors. At just £0.09p per litre the LIFESAVER jerrycan is a very cost-effective tool allowing families and villages to provide their own clean drinking water. Your £50 contribution will provide a family with over 5,500 litres of clean sterile drinking water.
At 1.5 Litres each per day this will last a family of 8 for 15 Months.






Small Village - All of your money goes directly to the provision of LIFESAVER jerrycans.
All the costs of distribution are born by both LIFESAVER systems and our partners and distributors. At just £0.09p per litre the LIFESAVER jerrycan is a very cost effective tool allowing families and villages to provide their own clean drinking water. Your £100 contribution will provide 1 LIFESAVER jerrycan to a family or small village of 50 people. It will process 15,000 litres of clean sterile drinking water.
At 1.5 Litres each per day this will last a village of 50 people for over 6 Months.
