LIFESAVER support Hit the Road Yak

14-Nov-2011

Earlier this year, LIFESAVER provided Hit the Road Yak duo George and Matt with a LIFESAVER jerrycan 10,000 as they took part in the 2011 Mongol Rally. They were also given a LIFESAVER jerrycan Aid to donate to a Mongolian family at the end of their journey.

Departing from Goodwood Park, UK on 23/07/11 with 798 other vehicles all in similar states of disarray - Critoen Saxo's, Fire Engines, Ambulances and even a car made from glass - they began their long journey to Mongolia.

George and Matt travelled in their Dihatsu Hi-Jet 'Doris', over 12,000km to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia. After 21 breakdowns, Doris finally succumbed to her inevitable fate, she gave up only 600km from the final destination. George and Matt successfully hitchhiked the rest of the way to complete their journey and found a family to donate the LIFESAVER jerrycan aid too.

So far, they have raised well over £5000 for their chosen charities HCPT and Christina Noble's Children's Foundation.

A review of our LIFESAVER jerrycan will follow shortly.
